It all started...
as a child growing up in north Georgia with a hardworking mother, a dirt road, horses and lots of time alone. I was forced into a world of imagination. The woods taught me to see, explore my boredom and create without judgement or critique.
Now, I make out of a need to understand the world as I currently experience it and to connect to others. I am constantly exploring new images as a side effect of boring easily but I balance this fickleness with a passion to understand oil painting ever more deeply. I have been committed to color recently and the imagery has begun abstracting itself as the need to know "what" I am painting becomes less important.
